Newman leading Liberal comeback: Hockey
Federal Coalition frontbencher Joe Hockey says the Liberals’ victory in the Brisbane City Council elections may mark the start of a Liberal Party comeback.
Brisbane’s Lord Mayor Campbell Newman remains the nation’s most senior Liberal Party politician in office after yesterday’s local government elections.
Joe "The Liverpool Kisser" Hockey - the political wrestler formerly known as "The Avuncular" - is not only giving heart to the party faithful, but also to this disenumbled blogger. Having won first prize last week in the granddaughter's school raffle, then according to Joe, I ought to be a lay down misere to win Thursday's $6 mill Powerball.
Woohoo! I get to buy that Trabant I've always dreamed of owning ... however we wont be holding our breath. (Don't want to go blue and ballooned in the face like L'il Joe.)
